it seems that I don't feel safe anywhere on the 'Net. :( No where to blog properly. I think, I'll just write in my paper journal for a while and see how that is.
Do what you need to do. When I REALLY want to vent (I'm talking about rude, childish name calling kind of venting), I write in my paper journal. Because too many times I've seen people who post thing public when they meant to click "private". A former best friend of mind made that mistake once. The post was only visible for 20 minutes but when I commented on why she thought I was bitch, what did I do?, she immediately locked it.
Sadly, there is no such thing as a Safe 'Net. I go by the rule if I don't feel comfortable in people knowing it, no matter how secure the filters might be, I don't post it. I write it.
And I'm sorry for whatever happened to you. :( The 'Net can be malicious for it gives those who vent, a false sense of self-righteousness if they get enough people they've never met IRL to back them up.
On the other hand, the 'Net can be an amazing thing. Just google "Cat Valente" and you will find an article regarding how her LJ fans and friends came to help when her honeymoon was in jeopardy. :)
If you're interested, what happened is now posted on my journal. ;) But I can see where you're coming from. I have been bullied by people online in the past and it sucks. :(
